How to use
PCSX2
- Copy
<CRC>.pnachinto PCSX2'scheatsfolder. PCSX2 2.x finds it by CRC. Renaming it toSERIAL_CRC.pnachalso works. - Turn on cheats. Right-click the game, open Properties > Cheats, and tick Enable Cheats. Then tick each code you want.
Every code has its own checkbox, using the
[section]name. - Boot the game. Codes apply every frame from boot.
PCSX2 1.6 and older have no per-cheat toggles: every patch= line in the file is applied. Delete the sections you don't want, or copy only the ones you do.
Real hardware
These codes are raw, unencrypted PS2 codes that use only standard code types:
| Type | Format | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 8-bit write | 0aaaaaaa 000000vv | write byte vv |
| 16-bit write | 1aaaaaaa 0000vvvv | write halfword |
| 32-bit write | 2aaaaaaa vvvvvvvv | write word |
| serial write | 4aaaaaaa nnnnssss + vvvvvvvv 00000000 | write word vvvvvvvv nnnn times, ssss words apart |
| 8-bit OR | 7aaaaaaa 000000vv | set bits vv (used for GG / GGX mode) |
- PS2rd, OPL's cheat engine, and other open-source PS2 cheat engines: use the codes exactly as listed.
- CodeBreaker (v7 and later): should accept these as unencrypted raw codes (untested on hardware). You also need the game's master (enable) code, which is on GameHacking.org for SLUS-21847.
- Action Replay MAX / AR2 / GameShark: these use encrypted formats. Convert the raw codes with a converter such as Omniconvert (input "RAW", output your device). We did not produce encrypted versions because we could not test them.
The save-data codes only need to run for one frame, followed by one save. A cheat device that applies codes only at boot is enough: let the game save, then remove the codes.
