- In PCSX2, choose Tools > Open Data Directory and open
patches. - Save this download there as
SLUS-21847_F233A433.pnach. Portable example:<PCSX2 folder>\patches\SLUS-21847_F233A433.pnach. - Right-click the game, open Properties > Patches, reload the list if needed, and enable the intended named patch sections and their required dependencies.
- Start the game from a fresh boot. Follow this feature's setup, controls, conflicts and recovery instructions.
Keep alternative modules separate. The ZIP is an archive of alternatives; do not enable everything together.
Setup instructions
- Confirm US SLUS-21847 / F233A433, shut down the game, and keep any existing patch backup outside the patches folder.
- Open PCSX2 Tools > Open Data Directory > patches. Save the complete download as SLUS-21847_F233A433.pnach without .txt; enable Native Gold/Black player colors in Survival in Properties > Patches and boot fresh.
- Make the native per-character Gold/Black unlock available first. This access patch does not grant it.
- Enter Survival. In character select cycle the banks with your bound Respect action; use bound Dust for Slash Gold or Reload Black, then confirm normally.
- To retain an installed CPU module, append only this named section and its two patch lines to its canonical PNACH and enable both sections. Do not overwrite your combined file with the standalone download.
- Disable and reboot the emulated game to restore the stock restriction. No same-process untick restoration is claimed.
Effect
Keep an unlocked Gold or Black player choice in Survival, using the native form effects and normal game progression.
Test result
Six matched human Sol processes qualify Gold and Black selection/live combat: stock and fresh code-off normalize to ordinary palette1; the candidate retains Gold14/form1/guts5 or Black19/form2/current Tension10000. P1 remains human and real attack inputs damage A.B.A.; both card pairs stay unchanged. Parent160 source/state/card/hash assertions pass. Seven separate CPU32 form starts qualify Gold Sol/Order-Sol/I-No/Dizzy/Johnny/Justice and Black Kliff in a distinctly hashed combined research package. One attempted human Kliff selector picked Sol and is explicitly failed, not a Kliff qualification. These are stock-main-menu state entries, not BIOS cold boots; no human all-character/full-clear claim.
Use and recovery
| Kind | simple code |
|---|---|
| Controls | Enter Survival normally, or use Configure in the separate Survival/CPU module.; In character select use bound Respect to cycle color banks and bound Dust for the fifth color: Slash Gold, Reload Black. Physical R2/R1 describe default bindings only.; Confirm your character normally. Native per-character Gold/Black unlock eligibility must already be available. |
| Enable | Save SLUS-21847_F233A433.pnach in Tools > Open Data Directory > patches; enable Native Gold/Black player colors in Survival in Properties > Patches and boot fresh. |
| Disable | Disable the section and shut down/reboot the emulated game. Unticking alone leaves patched instructions in RAM. |
| Reset | Use native selection and campaign controls. A fresh game boot with this section disabled restores stock palette restrictions. |
| Persistence | Only two executable words are patched. No unlock, HP, variant, score or save data is written directly. Native Survival may still save ordinary progress; tested original/copied cards were unchanged. |
| Requires | None |
| Conflicts with | None |
- US SLUS-21847 v1.00 / F233A433; matched human Sol Gold/Black controls and seven separate CPU form starts only. No JP, P2, hardware, human all-character or full-clear claim.
- Only Survival bit0x200 is removed from two native color-normalization masks. Native per-character unlocks, other mode bits, form effects, opponents and progression are retained.
- This two-word access patch composes with the CPU/Survival module. The research combined stream has the exact CPU v2 default words plus these two edits, without HP/stat/outcome assistance.
- Gold/Black changes the allowed character power. These are modified Survival runs, separate from standard-character records.
- This download does not unlock a character or a form. Enable a separate per-character unlock code or earn its native eligibility. The disposable unlock fixtures are absent from this product.
