  1. In PCSX2, choose Tools > Open Data Directory and open patches.
  2. Save this download there as SLUS-21847_F233A433.pnach. Portable example: <PCSX2 folder>\patches\SLUS-21847_F233A433.pnach.
  3. Right-click the game, open Properties > Patches, reload the list if needed, and enable the intended named patch sections and their required dependencies.
  4. Start the game from a fresh boot. Follow this feature's setup, controls, conflicts and recovery instructions.

Keep alternative modules separate. The ZIP is an archive of alternatives; do not enable everything together.

Setup instructions

  1. Confirm US serial SLUS-21847 and CRC F233A433. Shut down the game. Keep any existing patch backup outside the patches folder.
  2. Open Tools > Open Data Directory, then patches. Save this complete download as SLUS-21847_F233A433.pnach without .txt; enable ggmod: Survival Practice Continue in game Properties > Patches and boot fresh.
  3. Hold physical R1 while confirming SURVIVAL. Choose the encounter, CPU mode, stats and abilities, then start.
  4. After your first eligible win/reward, choose Continue once. The following fights and rewards progress automatically. Retry returns to the original configured start.
  5. Custom elapsed time begins at zero and carries a gold star/CUSTOM marker. It is a practice run, not an ordinary Survival speedrun.
  6. Use either this standalone module or the combined CPU module. Do not enable overlapping Survival/CPU/menu modules together.

Effect

Start at a configured encounter, then choose Continue once for uninterrupted native progression. Custom runs start at 0:00 with a visible gold star and CUSTOM timer.

Test result

P1 Sol source/native evidence proves an explicit first Continue, a further native win/reward advancing automatically, retained EXP/ability state, zero-based elapsed time and a persistent gold star/CUSTOM timer. Human wins used a separate native-attack diagnostic; this default contains no damage/EXP aid. Parent standalone audit240/240 and final exact-package audit141/141 pass; exact PNACH BIOS/game coldboot used normal Patches, cheats disabled and unchanged source/copied cards. Ordinary isolation and loss/reset guards are source/host checked. Actual post-opt-in loss/all-clear rendering and a full clear were not separately reached natively.

ControlsHold physical R1 while confirming SURVIVAL on the main menu to open Configure. Set your start and launch the encounter.; At the first eligible completion, select Continue. Subsequent wins and rewards advance normally without another per-fight Continue prompt.; Pause still offers Retry Configured Start, Configure and Exit. Retrying returns to the original configured checkpoint and requires a fresh Continue opt-in.; Configured elapsed time starts at 0:00 and displays a gold star/CUSTOM beside the timer. Ordinary unconfigured Survival keeps its native timer.
EnableSave the complete download as SLUS-21847_F233A433.pnach in PCSX2 Tools > Open Data Directory > patches. Enable ggmod: Survival Practice Continue in Properties > Patches and boot fresh.
DisableDisable the section and shut down/reboot the emulated game; unticking does not restore patched instructions already in RAM.
ResetRetry Configured Start restores the configured checkpoint. Configure changes the setup; Exit leaves practice. The automatic handoff resets on Retry/Configure/Exit.
PersistenceConfigured practice retains its ranking/unlock isolation. The default has no test damage/EXP buttons. Use a clean save backup when experimenting with any native mode progression.

  • P1 US SLUS-21847 v1.00 / F233A433 emulator scope. No JP, P2, hardware, full-clear or tamperproof claim.
  • This is an alternative to the older Survival Practice download. Install one overlapping module at a time. The combined CPU module also contains the new human continuation/timer behavior.
  • The real elapsed timer is separate from skipped-level enemy CPU scaling, which is preserved. Custom starts are visibly marked and retain practice ranking/unlock isolation.
  • Actual post-opt-in loss/all-clear rendering was not separately reached; the shared completion panel and terminal guards are covered by source/host checks. Loading and character-selection screens do not display a combat timer.
